About the Role

Sharestates is launching an effort to expand our lending operations team to support the expected growth in our business. As such, we have identified the need for a Senior Real Estate Underwriter in our Underwriting & Valuation team to help support the expected increase in loan origination volume. The Senior Real Estate Underwriter will report to the Director of Lending Operations and play an important role in supporting our growth. For this role we are seeking a highly capable team member with a history of success in underwriting loans on SFR (1-4 units) and multi-family properties.

Your Impact

You will be part of a team of senior underwriters responsible for coordinating and conducting loan level due diligence. You will be responsible to ensure each loan conforms to our underwriting guidelines. You will manage a pipeline of loans submitted for closing. You will interact with other areas of the firm, including sales, processing and the closing teams. Once approved, you will issue updated final underwriting approval with terms and assign to legal team/attorney. You will document your activities in our technology platform and provide feedback to improve. You will perform other ad-hoc projects related to loan performance and our underwriting guidelines.

As part of your loan due diligence you will:

  • Review contingencies and underwrite rehabilitation and construction budgets
  • Carry out requisite loan calculations (LTV, LTC, ARV, DSCR, DTI, etc.)
  • Verify market comparable for both rental values as well as property sale values
  • Conduct appraisal analysis to determine that acceptable collateral standards are met
  • Review and approve third party reports including property appraisals, physical needs assessments, environmental reports, lease abstracts and others as required.
  • Keep informed of current Secondary Market guidelines
  • Maintain productivity level and turn times as established by management.

      Conduct work with accuracy and competence. Mentor junior team members as it pertains to our underwriting guidelines and process.

      Measure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction across all provided services.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in lending operations for real estate an underwriter
  • Experience in appraisal reviews or developing valuation on SFR and/or multi-family properties
  • Experience managing junior underwriters preferred
  • Knowledge of loan origination and related activities
  • Superb communications, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical acumen

About the Role

Investors Loan Servicing is launching an effort to expand our servicing operations team to support the expected growth in our business. As such, we have identified the need for a Loan Servicing Analyst - Rehab Draws to help support the expected increase rehab draws disbursements in the loan portfolio. This role will play an important role in satisfying post-closing obligations to disburse rehab funds as work is verified complete, while also monitoring risk on each construction project. The Loan Servicing Analyst - Rehab Draws will report to the Director of Loan Servicing Operations.

For this role we are seeking a highly capable team member with a history of success in any of the rehab draw management. Exceptional candidate will have an opportunity to cross-train across each of the servicing operations areas and have opportunities for upward mobility within the organization.

Your Impact

You will help improve efficiency and increase customer loyalty by executing loan servicing related duties each day. You will intake, process and approve rehab draw disbursements for our borrowers. You will limit risk and ensure that only work completed is eligible for reimbursement. You will work with external vendors and our institutional clients to ensure disbursements receive the appropriate approval. You will coordinate and share your findings with other members of the servicing operations team, Asset Management and senior management. You will perform other ad-hoc projects that relates to tracking and monitoring risk on each loan.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years in loan servicing operations for real estate
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate draw management
  • Knowledge of loan servicing and related activities

Investors Loan Servicing (ILS) will help lenders seeking a specialized servicer for business purpose loans that require a higher level of service, not readily available from the larger, more diversified industry players. The Investors Loan Servicing platform will leverage key insights developed and refined over the years from the Sharestates' team. You will help improve efficiency and increase customer loyalty by helping to shorten the time required to close a loan and thereby help to increase loan volume.  You will be responsible for all the tasks within your designated vertical as follows.  You will interact with our borrowers to help support their mortgage application and obtain required information to move the loan toward closing.  You will help to track and verify all information provided is complete and accurate.  You will interact with other areas of the firm including the underwriting team and will help resolve any outstanding items as well as document progress in our technology platform.

The Mortgage Loan Post-Closer will report to the Director of Lending Operations and play an important role in supporting our expansion.

For this role we are seeking a highly capable team member with a history of success in post-closing activities and collateral management.

Exceptional candidate will have an opportunity to cross-train across each of the lending operations areas and have opportunities for upward mobility within the organization.

Your Impact

You will help improve efficiency and increase customer loyalty by helping to shorten the time required to close a loan and thereby help to increase loan volume. You will monitor daily exceptions, remedy collateral issues on loans by obtaining loan documents from the borrower or outside vendors. You will track and follow-up on post-closing trailing documents (recorded mortgages, closing packages, final title policies, etc.) from each closing to ensure that we have all required information to properly protect our interest as lender. You will work with the Underwriting team and Secondary Loan Sales team to support the exception clearing process from 3rd party loan reviews.
